The Houghton Lake area offers many championship golf courses, all within 20 minutes of the inn. Some are; Forest Dunes (ranked #5 in the state by Golf Weekly), The Dream, Burning Oaks Country Club, Pineview Highlands and White Deer Country Club. Snowmobile Rentals
There are miles of snowmobile trails and rentals are available in the Houghton Lake area.

Cross-Country Skiing

From Detroit: Take I-75 north to M-55 (exit 227), follow M-55 west for approximately six miles. The Inn is located on the south side of the road (just past the Welcome to Houghton Lake sign).
From Lansing: Take US-127 north to M-55. Go east on M-55 towards Houghton Lake and Prudenville. The Inn is located approximately 11 miles east of US-127 and on the south side of M-55 (past the Knights of Columbus).
From Grand Rapids: Take US-131 north to Cadillac. Go east on M-55 towards Houghton Lake and Prudenville. The Inn is located approximately 50 miles east of Cadillac and on the south side of M-55 (past the Knights of Columbus).
